Description
1982 PININFARINA SPIDER EUROPA French vehicle registration document Chassis no. ZFR124DS005500059 - Swiss origin - Same owner for 19 years - Latest version of the Fiat 124 Spider - Mechanical service due in 2025 Unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in 1967, alongside the Fiat Dino Spider, the 124 Spider features a very elegant and dynamic design by Pininfarina. Fiat ceased sales of its 124 Spider in Europe in 1975, but sales continued in the United States until 1981. Fiat then ceased production of the Spider and transferred the rights to the model to Pininfarina, the brand’s long-standing coachbuilder. Pininfarina decided to upgrade the model with a twin-cam fuel-injected engine and to modernise its design. The American-style bumpers on the later model years were redesigned, and chrome made a major comeback. Inside the completely redesigned cabin, the finish was significantly improved, featuring real wood veneers and beautifully crafted leather upholstery. Given the success of this revamp, Fiat gave the go-ahead for this new model – renamed the Spider Europa for the occasion – to be marketed through its European network. This Spider Europa was imported into France in 2007 and has remained in the hands of the same owner ever since its arrival. It is therefore a second-hand car. In August 2025, a major mechanical service was carried out at a cost of €2,000, including, in particular, the replacement of the set of four fuel injectors, the water pump and four new tyres. The bodywork and upholstery are in excellent condition, displaying a light and even patina. As the culmination of the Sport Spider line-up, the Spider Europa has transformed a popular model into a timeless classic, true to the spirit of the 1980s Italian roadster. 1982 Pininfarina Spider Europa French vehicle registration document Chassis no.
