Description
1992 PORSCHE 964 Carrera 4 Targa French vehicle registration document Chassis no. WP0ZZZ96ZMS430310 (see note) - Elegant and unusual configuration - Comprehensive service history: service book and invoices - Sought-after Targa 4 - Major mechanical overhaul in 2026: 9,000 euros’ worth of invoices - Only 163,000 km A global icon of the GT sports car, the Porsche 911 has been an undisputed benchmark for over 60 years. The Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 was replaced in 1989 by the 964 Carrera 4 generation, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1988. Introducing permanent all-wheel drive, the 964 retained the legendary air-cooled flat-six engine, whose displacement was increased to 3.6 litres to deliver 250 chevaux. This particular car was delivered new on 28 April 1992 in Weisslingen, in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland, in its current Nachtblau Metallic colour scheme, with a Beige Cashmere and black leather interior. It is equipped, amongst other features, with the optional heated electric seats, rear windscreen wiper, tinted windscreen and air conditioning. Its service history book reveals that it had two previous owners in Switzerland before being purchased and imported into France by our collector in 2006. The service history is documented in its service book up to 2016, and is supplemented by a file of invoices dating from 2004 to the present day, demonstrating that the car has been well looked after since it was first delivered. A major engine overhaul was carried out in July 2026 at a cost of €9,000. This included, in particular, the refurbishment of the dual ignition system, the replacement of the ignition modules and the coil, as well as the replacement of the starter motor. An absolute icon of the 1990s, the 964 Carrera 4, by combining the classic architecture of its air-cooled Flat-6 engine with the introduction of all-wheel drive, marks a key milestone in the technical evolution of the Porsche 911. Please note an administrative data entry error in the transcription of the chassis number between the vehicle registration document and the number plate/stamped chassis number. The number shown on the vehicle registration document is 96ZNS430310 instead of 96ZMS430310. 1992 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 4 French vehicle registration document Chassis no.
