Description
1999 PORSCHE GT3 French vehicle registration document Chassis no. WP0ZZZ99Z1S690351 - The very first GT3! - Final year of production for the highly sought-after MK1 - Only 118,000 km on the clock - Service history book stamped from new The Stuttgart-based manufacturer’s flagship model, the 911, entered a new era with the Type 996, unveiled in 1997. Porsche started from scratch with its design to optimise performance and cost-effectiveness. The first 911 with a water-cooled engine, the 996 also marked the birth of the GT3 line in 1999, featuring the legendary naturally aspirated ‘Mezger’ engine derived from racing, producing 360 chevaux. Produced between 1999 and 2001 in a run of just 1,868 units, the Mk1 is now the most sought-after 996 GT3 amongst collectors. This Porsche 911 Type 996 GT3 Mk1, of German origin, was delivered new by the Porsche Centre Berlin-South on 5 January 2001. It is therefore one of the very last Mk1 GT3s produced, with production ending in February 2001. The paintwork, in Arctic Grey (code L92U / Arktissilber), and the bodywork are in their original condition. It retains its standard-fit GT3 / Sport Classic II (BBS) wheels. Originally fitted with a comfort specification, it was subsequently upgraded with equipment from the Club Sport version, notably including lightweight bucket seats with harnesses, a fire extinguisher and a half-roll cage. It is fitted, amongst other things, with the following options and equipment: automatic air conditioning, front centre console and on-board computer, radio preparation, an activated carbon filter and a gradient-tinted windscreen. According to the 2025 expert report, the running gear components and the braking system are in good condition. The front suspension, featuring McPherson struts with wishbones, and the rear LSA multi-link suspension are complemented by a set of Öhlins coilover kits. The high-performance braking system features 330 mm ventilated and perforated discs, clamped by four-piston calipers. Its 3.6-litre, 24-valve flat-six engine develops 360 chevaux (265 kW) at 7,200 rpm and 370 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, coupled with a limited-slip differential. As the forerunner of the 911 GT3 range, this 996 GT3 is a major collector’s item, particularly in its highly sought-after Mk1 version. 2001 Porsche 911 (996) GT3 Mk1 French vehicle registration document Chassis no.
