Dresch 500 Monobloc – c. 1930 Frame number: 1445 Engine number: Unknown 500 cc 4-stroke in-line twin-cylinder engine, 3-speed gearbox, cardan shaft drive. Designed by Henri Dresch, an advocate of a motorbike that was “reliable and accessible to as many people as possible”, whose factories were established in the 15th arrondissement of Paris from 1926 onwards. His 500 monobloc model shook up the competition both through its cutting-edge mechanical design and its reasonably low launch price for a machine fitted with a twin-cylinder engine. A specimen in its original condition, incomplete – lacking the instrument panel and pistons – fitted with a fine set of Gazda spring-blade handlebars and a Goiot (Reims) steering brake. The vehicle is not roadworthy and requires restoration. A set of parts is included, comprising an engine casing. French collector’s registration certificate, first registered on 01/01/1930.
