Description
1960 – Bultaco Tralla 101 Frame no. B-001783 Engine no. M-001783 Spanish registration certificate No roadworthiness test Bultaco was founded in 1958 following a disagreement. Francesc Xavier ‘Paco’ Bultó, then at the helm of Montesa, saw the company’s management decide to withdraw from competition, whilst he regarded it as the best way to improve his machines. He left the company, followed by several engineers, mechanics and riders, and founded his own brand in Sant Adrià de Besòs, near Barcelona. The first model produced by Bultaco quickly gained a great reputation thanks to its racing successes, notably its second place in the overall classification of the 24 Hours of Montjuïc in the very year of its launch, with a motorcycle that was virtually standard production. This 125cc closed-crankcase model would serve as the basis for Bultaco’s production until 1966. At that time, owning a Tralla 101 was a mark of distinction for any owner. A piece of the brand’s heritage in impeccable condition, both aesthetically and mechanically: a rare opportunity not to be missed.
