Description
1968 – Bultaco El Bandido 360cc Frame no. B-1800821 Engine no. M-1800821 No registration certificate No roadworthiness test Within the Bultaco range, the El Bandido was a motocross bike designed to compete in the American market in the 500cc class. It was fitted with a new engine, known as the ‘Pedralbes’, and a new double-cradle frame. Although slightly too heavy for circuit racing, it nevertheless gained great prestige in cross-country events, held in the wilds of the deserts of southern California, where its weight was not a significant factor. In 1967, Bultaco launched its first machine in the Open class: the 350 cc El Bandido. In 1968, the bore was increased from 83.2 to 85 mm, bringing the displacement to 362 cc and producing 43.5 chevaux. The problem was that, weighing 114 kg (251 pounds) – around 9 kg more than the Pursang 250 – and with nearly ten chevaux more, very few riders were able to tame the ‘Bandit’. This example is in remarkable condition, both mechanically and aesthetically: a rare opportunity to add this model to your collection.  For any enquiries or to receive a condition report, please contact us on 06 52 56 31 11 or write to the following address: [email protected] Aguttes can assist you with the transport and delivery of your motorbikes; personalised quotes can be provided, so please do not hesitate to contact us regarding this.
