The launch of the Brio in 1953 opened up new horizons for the Montesa brand. Its design served as the basis for both road and motocross bikes: a true touring bike with a sporty character and meticulous finish, intended for the European market.
In 1956, the Brio 91 was launched, marking a revolution for the brand thanks to the addition of rear shock absorbers. Highly popular in the United Kingdom, its launch coincided with Montesa’s success at the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. It was also the brand’s first model to feature a 4-speed gearbox, delivering 10 chevaux and weighing 75 kg.
In short, it is a model that is both iconic and rare, an excellent ambassador for Spain across Europe.
This example, in good overall condition, retains its original frame and engine.
