Description
1948 – Lambretta 150 D Chassis no. 150 D 07499 Engine no. 150 D 16091 Valid registration certificate No MOT Introduced in the late 1940s, the Lambretta 150 D belongs to the first generations of scooters produced by Innocenti in Milan. Appearing in the immediate post-war period, it bears witness to the revival of Italian industry and the rise of the scooter as a modern, economical and accessible means of transport. With its distinctive silhouette and design still very much in keeping with the early Lambrettas, the 150 D possesses undeniable historical charm today. It is powered by a 125 cm³ single-cylinder two-stroke engine in the early versions, later increased to 150 cm³ as the range evolved, coupled with a manual gearbox. Its simple and robust design primarily met the mobility needs of the time, whilst offering a particularly distinctive riding experience for a two-wheeler of that generation. This 1948 model is in exceptionally good condition. Simple and elegant, it features a beautiful beige finish paired with green upholstery. Its reliable engine starts at the first kick of the kick-start. A rare example from the early years of Lambretta, this 150 D is now a particularly interesting piece for collectors of Italian scooters. Its history, unique aesthetics and significance in the development of the scooter make it a model with real character, ideal for enthusiasts of post-war Italian vehicles.
