From 2.00 pm: 1967 RENAULT 8 Major with 94,883 km certified, first owner, straight out of storage. 100 per cent original, this R8 is almost ‘organic’ – no modifications whatsoever; it has been in the same family since new. It hasn’t been driven since 1992; a complete restoration is required. The engine won’t start but isn’t seized – it turns over smoothly. The black imitation leather interior is in its original condition (driver’s seat needs reupholstering). Well-documented with its original purchase invoice, numerous parts and a spare engine, its road tax discs and the original warranty booklet from the time. Its age and provenance are part of its charm for a project to restore this original car to working order. The registration document is a standard French one; obviously, there is no MOT!
