Description
From 2.00 pm: 1971 CITROËN SM with 14,120 km on the clock, straight out of the barn. An authentic, 100 per cent original CITROEN SM, straight out of the barn, with just 14,120 km on the clock. It hasn’t been driven for 30 years, but has been kept amongst a fine collection of CITROENs. A first-generation V6 with carburettors, this icon of 1970s French engineering needs at least to be restarted and refurbished! Its original interior is in very good condition and just needs a good clean – that’s all. Mechanically speaking, the engine isn’t seized – everything’s there, even the air conditioning – but a fair bit of work will be needed to get this beauty back on the road. The bodywork is in its original condition, as is, with signs of corrosion (blisters), and the chassis also needs a look; the two-tone grey/black paintwork does not appear to be original. An interesting project for a car with few previous owners and an excellent base for this Maserati-engined sports car. The registration document is French; the car is sold as seen, without a roadworthiness test.
DESPITE THE CARE TAKEN IN THE DESCRIPTIONS, the vehicle is described based on information provided by the seller and visual inspections carried out. Vehicle sold as is WITHOUT RESERVATION, without warranty. The roadworthiness test is not a full inspection; free collection within 15 days.
