Developed from Ducati’s large twin-cylinder models of the 1970s, it features the architecture of the famous air-cooled 90° L-twin engine, designed around a camshaft-driven valve train with bevel gears. The Super Sport version is further distinguished by the use of desmodromic valve timing, in which both the opening and closing of the valves are controlled mechanically.
