HOTCHKISS-WILLYS JH101 – YEAR 1955 – 13 CV – 4-seater – Es – 23,788 km An iconic French post-war utility vehicle, the Hotchkiss-Willys JH101 is a French version of the famous American Willys Jeep. Its production helped to sustain the Hotchkiss brand, which was at the time facing difficulties in marketing its high-end cars. This 1955 model is of particular interest as it is fitted with a petrol engine, whilst diesel versions became much more widespread subsequently. Its odometer reading is 23,788 km, though this cannot be regarded as certified. The bodywork and upholstery are in satisfactory condition overall. The dashboard instruments, however, indicate that further maintenance is required. The underbody appears sound, with no apparent signs of perforating corrosion on the visible parts. A thorough inspection of the suspension, axles, bearings and running gear is nevertheless essential, as these vehicles have often been subject to heavy use.
