Description
WOLSELEY 6-80 – YEAR 1954 – 13 CV – 5-seater – Registration certificate – Es – 77,000 miles (123,919 km) A rarity on the French market, this 1954 Wolseley 6/80 epitomises the refinement of post-war British motoring. The Wolseley brand, closely linked to Morris, is distinguished by models positioned in a more luxurious segment and produced in more limited numbers. The 6/80 was notably used by the British police in the 1950s, although this particular example is a civilian version. This four-door saloon is powered by a 2.2-litre six-cylinder engine with overhead camshafts, producing 13 CV fiscaux and driving the rear wheels. It features torsion bar front suspension. Among its features and modifications are a stainless steel exhaust and a refurbished fuel tank. Presented in its original condition, it retains a patina of wear, particularly on the leather upholstery. Part of the driver’s seat has been reupholstered. The dashboard veneer has also been restored, with a finish whose colour differs from the original appearance. The bumpers have a faux-chrome finish. The bodywork appears clean in the available photographs, with no apparent dents or corrosion, subject to a thorough inspection of the underbody and chassis. The engine compartment may require a general overhaul, to be determined based on the service history and mechanical condition. The vehicle is roadworthy. Accompanied by its technical documentation, this Wolseley represents an interesting opportunity for enthusiasts of classic British cars. Maintenance records available for inspection, including invoices. Sold as seen.
