Monet-Goyon VELOCIMANE Type A, 1920 The first tricycle model designed by the brand to meet the needs of those disabled in the First World War, this Vélocimane is distinguished by its finely crafted frame and its distinctive brass frame plate, features characteristic of the earliest production models. Complete, it retains its main original components: a front brake with a metal strap, a two-speed front hub operated by cable and chain, as well as its original hubs with grease nipples. It comes with a spare rear wheel, several second-hand front tyres, new wooden crank handles, a seat restored by a basket weaver, and a new canvas seat cover, in keeping with the period style. Period documents and advertisements complete the set. One of the original rear rims is badly damaged. This vehicle could be preserved in its current condition, provided that any mechanical restoration is carried out in a manner that respects its authenticity and original frame.
