Jean PROUVÉ (1901–1984) A pair of beds, model No. 452, known as the ‘SCAL’, with a retractable shelf and head and footboards made of oak-veneered plywood. The bed frame is made of folded sheet steel, lacquered black, supported by four small cylindrical steel-tube legs with wooden caps. The metal bed base accommodates a mattress and its foam topper, covered in black fabric. Designed by Steph Simon, circa 1951. H: 48 cm - L: 198 cm - D: 119 cm
