Signed lower centre 'ARivoulon' and dated.
Height 32.5 cm Width 40 cm.
A Louis XVI period oak and gilded stucco frame.
Provenance:
- probably Rivoulon's painting "Les chercheuses de puces", rejected by the jury at the 1850 Salon;
- Jaques Guérin collection (1880-1962) chief curator of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Musée Nissim de Camondo;
- by family descent, Poitiers.
