The clock in our mantelpiece is based on the design of one of the most emblematic examples from the Château de Chantilly, delivered to the Duc d'Aumale in January 1846 by Beurdeley. The aesthetics of this clock were developed during the reign of Louis XVI by Vion or Falconnet: Aglaë, Thalée and Euphrosyne become the supports for the terrestrial globes and thus for the revolving dial mechanism.
