Chest of drawers
Rosewood veneer.
Curved on all sides with a lattice decoration, it opens with five drawers in three rows. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes on the corner falls, lock escutcheons, draw handles decorated with pages, apron and legs.
Breche d'Alep marble top moulded with a spout.
Regency period, early reign of Louis XV.
Attributed to Jacques Denizot, Master in Paris around 1730.
Height 83 Length 130.5 Depth 65.5 cm.
Accidents and cracks in the veneer.
Provenance: estate of a former antique dealer, Orléans.
Rosewood veneer chest of drawers attributed to Jacques Denizot at the start of Louis XV's reign.
