Hyacinthe Seguin's factory, founded in 1776, received the protection of the Duc de Chartres, Louis-Philippe-Joseph, the future Duc d'Orléans, known as Philippe-Egalité (1747-1793). The Séguin factory produced a service for his father, the Duc d'Orléans, "au chiffre de Monseigneur", mentioned in the inventory after the death of the Duc d'Orléans in 1782. A letter from Séguin to the Comte d'Angiviller on 8 April 1779 states that he was currently responsible for making "three complete services, one for Mgr le Duc de Chartres, another for M. le Comte de Maillebois and the third for Mme la Baronne de Neukischen". Finally, a large service decorated with the monogram RS for Rouen-Sollé is kept at the Château de la Motte Tilly.
