CHINA, 19th century A large, upright, two-part cabinet, made of black-lacquered wood with polychrome painted decoration and some gilded highlights. The upper section opens via two small doors decorated with Jue and Hue vases and auspicious motifs within panels framed by friezes of flowers and leafy scrollwork.
