Bibliography: Bernard Mafoua is a Congolese ceramicist who undertook further professional training in France in the 1960s.
As an artist about whom little is yet known, his work remains rare on the art market, and few of his pieces appear to have been offered at auction to date. The pieces attributed to him are notable in particular for the quality of their craftsmanship and the special care taken in the glazing process.
