"Between 1902 and 1905, Fiebig devoted himself mainly to watercolour drawings, which revisit themes he had simultaneously explored in pencil. Thus, his posthumous work preserves from this period ‘flowers’ (rep. 3), a subject which, in later periods (Lescar, early years in Sélestat), was to interest him just as much as ‘half-timbered houses’ or peasant dwellings (fig. 4)”
