ASSORTMENT OF ITALIAN FURNITURE FITTINGS from the 18th and 19th centuries. ORIGIN: NORTHERN ITALY, BERGAMO. This set was discovered in the 1990s at the workshop of a cabinetmaker in the Bergamo region (northern Italy), who had taken pleasure in preserving these original 18th-century furniture fittings. Secured with simple wire, allowing them to be recovered and reused without damage. In the centre, a medallion depicting the head of a Roman emperor and his wife. Panel dimensions: 73 x 55 cm
