Coin-operated PHONOGRAPH, of the sort found in bars or bistros, made of varnished wood, with an electrically operated mechanism and two headphones. The lower section opens via a door to reveal a shelf for storing records, whilst the upper section is glazed and can accommodate a poster. Decorated with two bronze roosters in relief. H. 185 – W. 62.5 – D. 44.5 cm. Included is an advertising poster on card: “Société des produits au ‘coq bleu’ – general foodstuffs” by the Boucherand-Dorel printing works, in Saint-Vallier, Drôme.
