A vermeil baluster-shaped TEA and COFFEE SERVICE (important) decorated with friezes of water leaves, acanthus leaves and flowers, ebony handles or coiled snakes. Engraved with the wedding coat of arms of Camille Auguste de CONTADES-GIZEUX, Marquis de Contades and Elisa du FOU (married 27 January 1818). It includes : Teapot (H. 20 cm), coffee pot (29.5 cm), covered sugar bowl or jam dish with crystal interior (H. 27 cm), twelve teaspoons, large milk jug (H. 25 cm) and circular tray with mirror base and openwork rim (Diam. 44 cm). Gross weight (excluding tray): 4025 g In its original green morocco gilded case (scratches, wormholes). CORRECTION TO THE LIST: This is not the marriage mentioned above but that of Henri de LA TULLAYE (1796-1867) to Athénaïs du FOU (1803-1879) in 1822.
