Jean-Claude Mézières (1938–2022) Portrait of Molto Cortès India ink and gouache on paper, signed lower right by Mézières and monogrammed by Evelyne Tranlé 33 x 24 cm Condition report: Mounted in a passe-partout. Very good condition. This recurring character from the Valérian and Laureline series is a tribute by Mézières and Christin to Hugo Pratt’s famous sailor, Corto Maltese. The original colouring is by Evelyne Tranlé, the series’ regular colourist.
