GALLE WORKS (1904–1936) Conical vase with a conical neck resting on a recessed, fluted foot. A trial piece in glass with a purplish-blue overlay on a bluish-green and yellow background. Decoration of seaweed and seabed motifs, etched in cameo style and finely finished with a wheel (a tiny scratch on the neck). Signed within the decoration. Height: 23.5 cm. Bibliography: Matsuzakaya department store catalogue, Nagoya, 2003; a variant of this decoration is listed for a dish under no. 21, p. 22. Expert: Cabinet Marcilhac, Paris.
