Kusakabe KIMBEI (1841-1934). Album containing 50 photographs of old Japan by Kusakabe Kimbei (1841-1934), the covers in black and gold lacquered wood, with ivory applications decorated with a boat with a couple and their child fishing, two cranes flying in the distance, against a background of Mount Fuji. Estimated date of manufacture: Japan, late Meiji (1868-1912) - early Taisho (1912-1926) period. The album was almost certainly assembled at the very beginning of the 20th century, during the artist's lifetime.
