Description
PIAGET. Rare cylindrical table clock in green veined marble and 18 carat gold. The body rests on three spherical feet and has 9 vertical segments between which are fixed 9 18-carat gold figures carrying an amphora and represented in different attitudes. The 9 subjects have a cumulative net weight of +/- 234 grams (four subjects were weighed and weighed 27.1 - 27.8 - 25 and 24.5 grams respectively). They are hallmarked with an eagle's head. The mechanism is set into the top plate of the clock in the manner of Renaissance table clocks. The crown is also in 18 K gold and hallmarked. Beautiful guilloché dial signed Piaget. Extremely rare model, probably special order. Height: 11 cm. Diameter: 8 and 8.5 cm. There is a chip at the base, a small surface chip at the top and a few small chips.
