Two circular dishes in 950°/°° silver, moulded with fillets, fastened with shells and engraved with two intertwined letters on the rim. Avignon, last quarter of the 18th century, and Paris, 1757–1758. AVIGNON: master silversmith: Jean-Pierre VIOLET, admitted to the guild in 1774. The second dish, PARIS 1757–1758, is engraved on the reverse with the weight in old units of measurement: three marks, two deniers, two grains. Condition: previous restorations Diameter: 28 and 29 cm Net weight of both: 1442 g This lot comes from the reception room of the Château d’Arcangues.
