Commander’s plaque belonging to Michel Louis Marie d’ARCANGUES (1790–1868).
In silver, diamond-pointed, with the centre and interior in enamelled gold (chips, one cheekbone distorted). Reverse with a hinged clasp and two hooks.

Very good to very good condition.
Enclosed are two certificates of appointment as Commander of the Order (1847 and 1848) and two letters of conferment from the Order of Charles III in the name of the Marquis Miguel d’Arcangues, together with an authorisation to wear the Commander’s insignia (1859) issued by the Grand Chancellery.
