Description
A pennant of the 6th Army Corps from General DUPORT, its commander.
Made of silk.
The obverse features an ivory background crossed diagonally by a tricolour blue, white and red band, adorned in the centre by a blue circle decorated with a salamander and a flame, embroidered in high relief on either side of the circle in gold canette thread and sequins with the motto ‘Je me ris du feu’ and, in one corner, ‘6th Army Corps’. The reverse is plain, ivory in colour.
Three sides edged with gold trimmings; one corner holds a cord with a tassel made from matching trimmings.

General Pierre-Georges Duport (1864–1939) was commander of the 6th Army Corps from April 1918 until the end of 1921.
