A billiard bench in moulded walnut, with a flat ‘gendarme’s cap’ backrest and seat, both caned. Two armrests with wooden cuffs, baluster-style uprights with finials, tapered fluted front legs connected by an H-shaped crossbar with two hinged drop-down footrests. Late 19th–early 20th century. H.: 118 cm – L.: 160 cm – W.: 40 cm (Signs of wear and damage to the cane work). This item comes from the billiard room at the Château d’Arcangues.
