Punu culture, Gabon Beautiful Mukuyi mask First half of the 20th century Made of light-coloured kapok wood coated with kaolin and red padouk, depicting a young woman with a serene face and a headdress carved into a double-coiled bun that falls in braids down the side of her head. It features the scarifications typical of the ethnic style in nine points on the forehead and temples.
