Lumbo culture, Gabon Rare 19th-century arm mask Made of semi-hard wood with a beautiful patina of age and traces of kaolin, depicting a stylised female face with closed eyes, pierced with numerous holes that would have held plant fibres. H. 21 cm Provenance: Former private collection, France Condition report: Mounted on a plinth This type of mask is commonly found in Fang culture and much more rarely among the Punu and Lumbo peoples.
