JAPAN - 19th century Metal kabuto warrior's helmet, with rat-shaped maedate on a gold lacquered half-moon background, and metal visor. The gold-lacquered fukigaeshi (face protectors) curved towards the back, laced with beige silk cords and decorated with small fern motif plaques. The shikoro (neck guard) has three movable blades and blue, beige and multicoloured cords. The cord is made of orange padded fabric. (wear, restorations... ) 31x36 cm
