Colour lithographs pasted on black canson paper, enhanced with gouache, titled in Arabic and signed in the MAP plate. Translation of the title in French in white letters under the plate. Three framed under glass.

An American humorist born in the Philippines in 1899, MAP travelled the capitals of Europe and North Africa. Particularly attached to Algeria, he exhibited in Algiers in 1922 and Oran in 1924. These four plates are from his work SAMRAT. Proverbes arabes. Paris, Librairie de France, [circa 1925].
