Set of four manuscripts relating to Islamic law and jurisprudence (fiqh), North Africa, 19th century and earlier Arabic manuscripts on paper in brown ink, some terms in red ink. The set includes : - a work of Malikite law, the commentary on the Tuhfa of ibn 'Asim by at-Tasuli, signed, bound in garnet morocco with embossed decoration, 22.3 x 19 cm; - two manuscripts of the Hanafi jurisprudence book al-Mabsut by ash-Sarakhsi, one signed and dated AH 1237 / 1821, brown morocco flap binding with embossed decoration (one cover missing), 21 x 17 cm, the second dated 1136(?) H / 1723, brown morocco flap binding with embossed decoration, 20.5 x 16.5 cm; - a work on the sources of law with a commentary by M. Barbier de Meynard, brown morocco flap binding with embossed decoration, 16.5 x 13 cm. Manuscripts as is.
