Tabak dish decorated with bouquets, Ottoman Turkey, Iznik, circa 1600
Circular siliceous ceramic dish with polychrome decoration under a transparent glaze of four bouquets arranged in a cross on either side of a four-lobed fleuron and separated by bifid palmettes joined together to form a lambrequin. Decorated with waves and stylised rocks on the rim and a frieze of floral motifs on the back. Antique collector's label on the reverse indicating "6905 Série 150 125".
Diameter: 25.5 cm
Chips, reattached breaks, restorations, four suspension holes, one of which is filled in the marli.
