Embroidered purse, Ottoman Empire, 19th century Rectangular pouch with side gussets, flap and double hanging strap, in garnet-red silk weave entirely embroidered with gold metallic threads and passementerie in undulating lines. The flap is embellished with a tassel highlighted with cannetilles and small tassels repeated all around the pouch. Green silk lining. Size without strap or piping: 25.2 x 17.3 cm Minor accidents, discolouration of the red silk.
