Description
Three Iznik style dishes, Europe, Boch Frères Keramis et Onnaing, 20th century Circular ceramic dishes glazed with a floral design evoking Ottoman production in the Iznik workshops. The first is marked B.F.K. (Boch Frères Keramis) and numbered 3/55 under the base. The other two are decorated with a red palmette flanked by hyacinth stems and encircled by tulips and rosettes, the other with a composite flower flanked by two saz leaves, inscribed "Onnaing 1904" and a monogram F under the base, and engraved with motifs. Diameter: 31.2; 30 and 30.2 cm Small chips in the glaze, suspension holes, chips and cracks at the foot of the first one. Onnaing earthenware was produced between 1821 and 1938 in the town of Onnaing in northern France.
