Description
Two portraits of rajas, North India, probably Rajasthan, late 19th - early 20th century Two gouaches on paper, each depicting a raja seated cross-legged on a carpet, his back resting against a large cushion. Each is wearing a turban, both are carrying a talwar sword, the second is also armed with a katar slipped into his belt and a rondache. Frames. 21.3 x 16.2 cm and 21.4 x 16.4 cm Minor stains.
