Glass ewer, Iran qâjâr, 18th or early 19th century
A green translucent glass ewer blown in a mould with partly applied decoration. It has a gadrooned body surmounted by a cylindrical neck that widens at the top and is flanked by a curved spout with a pinched mouth and an applied handle. Collection label.
Height : 17 cm
Slight iridescence, slight soiling, small crack on the lip.
The Musée du Louvre in Paris holds a similar model (AD 545) attributed to the 18th century or the first quarter of the 19th century.
