Paris, Antoine Urbain Coustelier Press, 1724. 2 vols. in-12, burgundy morocco, framed with triple gilt fillet, plain spine decorated with the heraldic dies of a crosier and a bishop’s mitre, gilt edges on marbled paper (ex-library binding).
These two volumes from the Coustelier collection contain the ‘Vigilles du Roy Charles VII’.
Fresh bindings from the library of the Count of Choiseul, Bishop of Saint-Papoul from 1718 to 1723 and subsequently of Mende from 1723 to 1767, bearing his coat of arms stamped on the spines.
