Yverdon, n.p., 1770–1780. 49 vols. in-4 out of 58, marbled calf, decorated ribbed spine (expanded binding). Edition compiled by the scholar Fortunato Bartolomeo de Felice (1723–1789), a convert to Protestantism who settled in Yverdon (Switzerland), based on Diderot and d’Alembert’s Encyclopédie (1751–1772). Incomplete set of 9 volumes: 41 text volumes out of 42 (volume 40 missing), 2 plates volumes out of 10 (volumes IV and VII complete); all 6 supplementary volumes complete. Bindings very worn, title labels missing, stains and foxing.
