[Books] QUEVEDO (Francisco de). Pablo de Segovie. Paris, Edouard Pelletan; Boulogne-sur-Seine, Ed. Daniel Vierge, 1902. Large quarto, fawn half-maroquin with corners, ribbed spine, gilt head, cover and spine preserved (Semet and Plumelle). First edition of the translation by J.-H. Rosny, illustrated with 120 drawings by Daniel Vierge, including a frontispiece portrait of the author. First edition of the study on the artist by Roger Marx. Printed in a run of 440 copies and 15 present copies, signed by the artist and bearing a note on the half-title page affixed by the artist himself. This copy, one of 300 on handmade paper, is no. 305. It contains, at the end, a series of four previously unpublished original watercolours by Daniel Vierge, etched by G. Noyon in black in two states, one of which includes a note; prospectus enclosed. Minor scuffing.
