Vases (2) China – 1930–1950.
Two large lidded vases or ginger pots in Chinese porcelain, decorated with polychrome enamels:
- The first depicts ladies dressed in traditional tunics and features a poem in black ink that echoes the painted scene. The lid is adorned with characters matching the poem. Good condition. Height: 30 cm.
- The second features Buddhist symbolism depicted through children at play,
one holding a Ruyi sceptre (a symbol of good fortune), another waving pomegranate branches (symbols of fertility). Good condition. Height: 32 cm.
