A 950‰ 1st-rate silver hand candlestick, with a square base, engraved with palmettes and interlacing, the shaft on the sides. The socket depicting a chimera. With an attached bobèche, inscribed with 18th century hallmarks. Engraved with the Séguin coat of arms surmounted by a count's crown.
French work, 1st cock 1798-1809, for the Strasbourg region.
Restorations, missing parts and bobèche.
