A clock known as the ‘Capucine’, made of chiselled iron and brass; the circular dial displays the hours in Roman numerals, the minutes in Arabic numerals, and features a hand in the shape of an ornate fleur-de-lis; the openwork pediment is decorated with foliage motifs; the straight uprights form a cage housing the movement, the domed upper section housing the gong. Late 17th century – Early 18th century. Pendulum, chain and some added components. (Untested – damage and missing parts) H: 30 cm.
