A very beautiful octagonal jewellery box made of ebony, blackened wood and semi-precious stones, the lid featuring Boulle marquetry with chiselled foliage motifs, the sides adorned with eight marquetry panels depicting flowering stems and birds perched on branches, rendered in polychrome against a black marble background and framed by mouldings. Resting on miche feet, the interior is made of lemonwood.
